Mission Statement:

Valdespino Music Productions has been a label in the making since 1997. A dream of a kid making it as a successful executive producer and label owner. Wanting a way out from having to deal with the harsh reality of growing up have barely enough to survive and watching many family members and friends going down the wrong path of selling and/or doing drugs Sleep-E-J wanted more. Decided to create a new family business so to speak. It seemed like the only roads Sleep-E-J had to follow were to sell dope or landscaping. Witch neither ideas were too appealing to him

Sleep-E-J began to do some homework on what you need to do to create a demo. after researching and coming up short All he did was bite other peoples ryhmes and tried to pass em off as his. until he actually learned how to freestyle. Then learned how to put his own thoughts and ideas together. trying to find any and all people to help him get this dream started the only person he could ge to bite on the idea was his friend Court Dawg and Cousin Psyco V but Court Dawg was canceled out do to lactor of funds as well as not enough time spent writing.

 

A few year later The Connections Was formed but with no one on the label to rap Psyco and Sleep - E- J decided the easiest and cheapest way to get artists was to be some themselves. But then Shortly after Creating a small buzz at skool Sleep-E-J began having people want to use the studin for their Demos he ran into a few old faces from middle skool. witch lead to the first freestyle mix tape. The CD sold about 100 in St. Louis, MO alone by word of mouth 50 in Dallas, TX and 40 In Houston, TX. Then Psyco V released a solo album that went on to sell 50 in St. Louis, Mo and 250 copies in Dallas, TX.

 

That was when Sleep-E-J split from the label to create his own. He Put together another Mix tape cd witch went on to sell 400 cds in St. Louis, Mo alone. Then when trying to leagalize the company name found out that the name was already in usel.

 

So then it lead to "VMP" Now the label only has 1 actuall release that is Lil X's solo Debut Silent Assasin. The Album has sold 50 in St. Louis and Sold 300 in Dallas, TX. Now the label has a exclusive 4 cd Silent Partnership that is in the works now. We Plan on putting out 4 Mix Tape in less than 3 months so please keep your ear's and eye open for our up coming releases.
